In Abbotsford, Movember means more than moustaches—it means community. And this year, one of the city’s favourite burger joints is serving up a side of purpose with its patties.
On November 24, BRGR BRGR will host its first-ever Movember Bingo Night, combining what it does best—great burgers, good times, and local spirit—with a fundraiser for men’s health.
For $20, guests will get a burger, fries, a cold beer, and a bingo card, with every dollar going directly to Movember Canada, which funds initiatives in men’s mental health, suicide prevention, and prostate and testicular cancer research. Additional bingo cards will be available for $5 each, with fun prizes up for grabs throughout the evening.
“Movember is all about starting conversations and having fun while supporting a serious cause,” says Mikey McClintock, organizer of the event. “We wanted to create something that gets people out, laughing, and connecting—and what better way than burgers, beers, and bingo?”
McClintock says the idea came together quickly after a conversation with general manager and bingo enthusiast Krista Holt, who had recently picked up the game as a hobby. “Krista mentioned how fun it could be to bring that energy into the restaurant,” he says. “We realized our Abbotsford space was perfect for a night like this—we’ve got the energy, the crowd, and the vibe. It’s about showing up for each other, whether that’s by growing a moustache, buying a burger, or just being part of the night.”
Since opening, BRGR BRGR has built a loyal following with its stacked burgers, local ingredients, and friendly, casual atmosphere that’s as welcoming to families as it is to Friday-night regulars. Events like this one reflect what makes the restaurant more than just a spot to eat—it’s become part of the community’s heartbeat.
“Everyone knows someone who’s been affected by mental health struggles or cancer,” McClintock adds. “This is our way of saying, ‘You’re not alone, and we can make a difference together.’”
The Movember Bingo Night kicks off at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 24, at BRGR BRGR Abbotsford. Expect a full house, plenty of laughter, and maybe even a few moustaches behind the bar.
Tickets are available online.

Woman wins $154,168 after playing the same lottery numbers for six years – primetimer.com

A North Carolina woman, who has won $154,168 in a recent lottery draw, after using the same set of numbers for six years, was encouraged by her sister, who would always tell her that she would win one day.
The winner, who was identified as Munford, said her sister had convinced her to continue playing the same numbers – even when she wasn’t winning.
“My sister convinced me to keep playing those same numbers,” Munford said. “She told me I was going to win one day.”
That was the case on Monday when a $1 Cash 5 ticket Munford bought from the Lucky Stop on Legion Road in Hope Mills hit the winning numbers — earning her a total of $154,168.
Munford said she could hardly believe what she was seeing when she checked the winning numbers.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s me, that’s me, I won!’” she recalled. “I was so excited.”
She said that the shock of winning such a big amount brought a wave of emotions.
“I was in the living room crying,” she said.
Munford shared that she plans to use her lottery winnings to pay off bills and take care of some financial responsibilities.
“I love the Cash 5 now,” she added with a smile.
The North Carolina Education Lottery confirmed her win and congratulated her on her patience and persistence. The store that sold the winning ticket will also receive a small bonus from the lottery commission for selling it.
Munford’s story has caught attention because of her steady routine and belief in her lucky numbers. She played the same set for six years, refusing to change it even when she didn’t win. Her sister’s encouragement to stay consistent finally paid off.
Lottery officials said many players have their own “lucky numbers” — often based on birthdays, anniversaries or other special dates. While there’s no formula to guarantee a win, Munford’s experience shows how faith and consistency can lead to life-changing results.
Officials reminded other players to always check their tickets after each draw. Many winners forget to do this and miss out on prizes.
They also encouraged responsible play, stating that the lottery is a game of chance, and every ticket offers a new opportunity — but luck can strike at the least expected moment.
Munford’s win has brought joy not only to her but also to her family. Her sister’s belief turned out to be true after all — the same numbers that went unnoticed for six years finally turned into a $154,168 jackpot.

XRP Price: Wall Street Access Arrives as First Spot ETF Launches This Week – CoinCentral

Canary Capital has filed the final paperwork needed to launch the first US spot XRP exchange-traded fund. The company submitted a Form 8A to the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday night.
Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said the filing points to a launch on Wednesday or Thursday. Form 8A filings for Hedera ETFs resulted in those funds launching the next day.
Canary filed 8A for XRP ETF last night, which points to launch tomorrow or Thursday (today is holiday). Thursday was the day we thought they'd be on track for but when they did the 8A for HBAR they launched the next day. Not done deal but all boxes being checked. Stay tuned.. pic.twitter.com/gVt9c3psmu
— Eric Balchunas (@EricBalchunas) November 11, 2025

The Nasdaq needs to certify the listing by 5:30 PM ET on Wednesday. Once that happens, the ETF could start trading Thursday morning.
Canary’s ETF differs from other XRP investment products already available in the US. The fund was filed under the Securities Act of 1933. This allows it to directly hold XRP tokens rather than investing through an offshore company.
Canary Capital is not alone in seeking to launch an XRP ETF. The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation platform shows several other spot XRP ETFs in the pre-launch phase.
Companies including Bitwise, CoinShares, and Franklin Templeton have XRP ETFs listed on the DTCC. ETF expert Nate Geraci estimates these funds could launch within a couple of weeks.
The end of the government shutdown has cleared regulatory hurdles. This has created a path for multiple XRP ETFs to enter the market.
XRP is currently trading at $2.39. The token faced selling pressure when it reached $2.50 recently.
Technical analysis shows XRP may retest support at $2.38 before attempting another move higher. The Relative Strength Index is approaching overbought levels on lower time frames.
Analysts believe XRP could push toward $3 if the ETF launches proceed as expected. A breakout above $3 could open the door to $4.

The combined assets under management of these ETFs could quickly surpass $1 billion. This follows a similar pattern to what happened when Bitwise’s spot Solana ETF entered the market.
The new ETFs will provide regulated access to XRP for both retail and institutional investors. These funds offer an alternative to buying XRP directly on crypto exchanges.
The spot ETF structure allows funds to hold actual XRP tokens. This differs from futures-based products that track contracts rather than the underlying asset.
Crypto reporter Eleanor Trent confirmed that Canary’s filing represents the final step before the ETF goes effective. The company is waiting for Nasdaq certification to complete the process.
The launch of multiple XRP ETFs represents a new phase for the token in US markets. Investors will have several regulated options to gain exposure to XRP through traditional brokerage accounts.
