The Mega Millions jackpot has soared to a whopping $900 million ahead of Tuesday’s draw.
The total marks the eighth-largest jackpot since Mega Millions was first drawn in 2002 and the third time it has eclipsed $900 million since the record of $1.602 billion was set in Florida on Aug. 8, 2023.
Tuesday’s drawing will be the 39th drawing since a winner in Virginia last took home the jackpot on June 27, extending the streak for the longest stretch without a winner since it took 37 drawings for a lottery player in Michigan to win a $1.05 billion jackpot on Jan. 22, 2021.
The $900 million jackpot will be drawn on Nov. 11 at 11 p.m. Players in Massachusetts can buy a ticket at Massachusetts State Lottery retailers across the state until 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Tickets are $5 each, and participants must pick five numbers between one and 70 and another Mega Ball number between one and 24.
