Mega Millions Reaches Longest Ever Run Without A Winner: Insane Jackpot Is Yours For The Taking – suggest.com

We celebrate the self-awareness, empathy, and wisdom of women in midlife.
Are you feeling lucky? The Mega Millions has gone the longest ever in the lottery’s history without a winner. So as you can imagine, the jackpot is pretty insane, and it’s yours for the taking. If you have the right numbers, that is.
The Mega Millions jackpot has reached an estimated $843 million. That’s a life-changing amount of money that many of us will never see. It’s all due to the fact that the lottery has gone the longest ever without a winner, so the jackpot just keeps accumulating.
This Friday will be the 38th consecutive drawing since someone has one the jackpot. You’d have to go back all the way to 2021 to find a streak that has stretched this long. That streak was 37 consecutive drawings until there was a winner. A lot of people have been unlucky, but when someone hits, they’re going to be extremely lucky.
Mega Millions is in 45 states plus DC, so you have a lot of competition. But you’re really just competing against fate. In New York, several people are trying to tempt fate by going to a store where previous Powerball winners bought tickets.
Speaking with the New York Post, these people weighed in on the big jackpot.
“This store might make me a millionaire.  After all, it’s the lucky store. I’m hoping coming here pays off,” Harris Heywood told the outlet. He bought his tickets at V&C Taneja, a BP gas station. “When I saw [the triple win] on the news, I started coming here.”
Shahid Shah, the manager of said gas station, said a lot of people have been coming to the store to tempt their luck.
“People are coming from the Bronx, Brooklyn, and even Connecticut because they hear about us,” he said. “They spend $100, $200, and more.  One man already spent $120 this morning.”
“We had a lot of people earlier, and we are expecting much more,” he said. “ I hope someone hits the jackpot here and breaks the [losing streak].”
But you don’t have to live in New York or have a fancy gas station to win. Just be lucky. It’s not hard, right?

'I'm a lottery expert – these are the 6 ways you can increase your chances of winning' – Daily Express

National Lottery Promotion Sign, Ayr, UKTonight’s EuroMillions draw is set to make history, with a staggering £210 million up for grabs. If a single player scoops the jackpot, it could go down as one of the biggest EuroMillions wins ever recorded. The current record stands at an eye-watering £216 million which was claimed in June by a single ticket holder from Ireland. Ireland’s National Lottery confirmed the win as the largest EuroMillions jackpot ever awarded.
While the draw is chosen at random, there are ways of increasing your chances of winning and avoiding some common mistakes, according to Dave James, odds expert at Whataretheodds.co.uk. He said: “Tonight’s jackpot is a whopping £210m and there’s sure to be plenty of people jumping on board and buying a ticket. The draw itself is random, but how you choose your numbers isn’t. Players can reduce their chances of splitting a prize and make smarter selections simply by avoiding the most common mistakes.”

READ MORE: ‘I’m a betting expert and these are the five numbers you should never pick’ Close-up of a pen marking numbers on a lottery ticket. Some numbers show up more often than others. According to the expert, the number 3 has been drawn roughly 182 times, 2 has come up about 178 times, and 20 has appeared around 111 times.
While past performance doesn’t guarantee future results, these frequently drawn numbers or “hot numbers” are a favourite tactic for hopeful lottery players.
One common mistake mentioned by the expert is people sticking to dates like birthdays when EuroMillions numbers go up to 50.
James said: “Many people pick numbers between 1 and 31, simply because they stick to birthdays! But the EuroMillions lets you go up to 50. By choosing higher numbers, you won’t improve your odds but you’ll reduce the chance of having to split the jackpot or prize money with others picking the same dates.”
Pooling resources with friends, family, or colleagues in a lottery syndicate allows you to buy multiple tickets and cover more number combinations.
James added: “If you’re playing with friends, family or co-workers, a lottery syndicate is a smart move. If you all put in a few quid into the pot to buy a few tickets it increases your number coverage and boosts your overall odds, though you’ll share any winnings equally.
Many players either pick Lucky Star numbers at random or neglect them altogether. Since you need to select two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12, choosing less common or higher Lucky Star numbers strategically could help make your ticket stand out if it wins.
Avoid patterns like all odd, all even, or consecutive numbers. Historically, a mix of three odd and two even numbers or vice versa is more common among winning tickets, increasing your chances of success.
Lastly, the expert said that while it is tempting to copy and repeat winning numbers that have been used in the past, this does not actually increase your odds since every draw is random and independent.
Plus, many others might do the same, increasing the chance of splitting any prize won using that same combination.

Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library! We have two special events coming up this month that I wanted to highlight today. We’ve recently introduced our new Bingo program, and on Monday, Nov. 10, we’re going to shake things up this time with a Grocery Store Bingo at 10 a.m. This upcoming event is just for adults playing for the chance to win groceries galore. The first bingo card is free, but if you like the thrill of running multiple cards at a time, you can make a donation for up to four more. Your generous donations will help fund this event and future rounds of bingo, like the one we will have later this month.
Grocery Store Bingo on Nov. 22 at 10:30 a.m. will be open to all ages, operating similarly to the grocery bingo events we’ve hosted in the past. Every participant will have one card for free, and we will make sure everyone goes home with something. Adults are welcome to bring their kiddos so the whole family can take something home, and kids 10 and up can come play by themselves if they would like. We will have everything from full meals to snacks on the table, so come win something tasty!
If you are interested in helping us provide as much food as possible during these programs, you can donate non-perishable food items that can be prepared by most ages, or you make a monetary donation to help us go shopping!
As for other upcoming events, movie enthusiasts ages 18 and up can come to our Adults’ Night Out Movie at 7 p.m. tomorrow evening. “Follow Elphaba, a young woman with green skin, as she navigates life at Shiz University and forms an unlikely friendship with the popular Glinda. Their bond deepens as they encounter the Wizard of Oz, leading to a series of events that ultimately shape their destinies and transform them into the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.” Popcorn and seating are available starting at 6:45 p.m. (the north doors will be open to allow entrance until 7:15 p.m.).
Find your local writing community at the Great Bend Public Library! Writers grades 3 and older from the Barton County area are welcome to join us for our monthly meetings to share and work on their craft. This fall, we’re focusing on Novelvember, an annual writing project that takes place during the month of November. The end goal is to write a 50,000 word first draft manuscript in 30 days! Need a change of scenery? Come to the library during our November meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 5:30-7 p.m. to work on your Novelvember draft! This is also a great opportunity for troubleshooting and feedback on your project from members of the club
Next Thursday, Nov. 13, crafters 18 and up can join us for our Adult Craft at 6 p.m. This month, create a minimalist textured art piece for your home with canvas and spackle! Spots are first come, first served, as supplies are limited.
